I whipped it up for Linka's use in AoD (originally it was a random idea as a "monster" you'd encounter if AoD ever became a game). God, this thing kicked my creativity's ass. Or, at least, what was left of it then. XD
They be venomous :V the dark blue stuff is saliva/venom, btw. It tends to be very dark, and varies between individuals, from a dark blueish to even a pure black. It has acidic qualities and is used for multiple things, including breaking down food (they have a hard time digesting things), killing prey, marking territory (they're solitary and very territorial, like falcons; the decaying matter around an area is used to mark borders like wolves' scent-marks), and fending off enemies.
The saber teeth are for hunting, as they go straight for the jugular, and use their razor-sharp sabers to break their prey's neck/puncture their throats so they drown in their own blood. They're violent things, lemme tell you. The horns on their face and tail are used as a means of territorial claim and/or fighting for mates. They bash into each other head-on and swing their tails like clubs at each other multiple times (similar to how male giraffes 'neck' each other) until one either dies or gives up. Females lack the horn on their nose, and the others are much smaller. The horns on their backs are actually just for show (they're quite useful for scaring enemies off sometimes, though).
The stitches are exactly the same on each individualthe only differences you can see without having to get close are their different-colored bodily fluids (the 'blood,' which can be any shade of crimson, and the saliva), their different-sized horns (they vary between individual as well), and the color of their hair (which can be dark gray, brown, red, or green). The stitches are mostly symmetrical other than the ones on their legs.
Their ears are STIFF. They cannot move around or used with body language. Emotion is displayed through their tail (like wolves) and facial expressions (which can be very humanlike at times). Their mouth cannot be fully closed, as their tongues (ONLY TWO!) have no muscles that can pull them into their mouth. Their blackened teeth often end up puncturing their tongues because of this fact, and it can be a comical sight when they're hanging out the side rather than forward.
Their eyes are vibrant colors, which seems unusual compared to the rest of their dully-colored body. They can be green, orange, red, blue, indigo, violet, cyan, or yellow. Rarely, however, some can have silver eyes. They have a pure black sclera and slit pupils.
Also: the neck slopes upward and gets somewhat thicker where the mane starts. It arches similarly to the way its back does.
Ummm...and they're carnivores. I think that's it. XD DANG THIS THING IS EPIC!
SO LONGGG. ;3; There's probably a bunch of typos, too. XD
EDIT:
Bein' reptilian-esque and all, their reproductive organs are inside their body. They can have one offspring at a time, but more often than not, they're unfortunately stillborn. This is due to their dangerousness and ability to affect the environment for the worst (though not nearly as bad as humans). Females are slightly maller than males (males can grow to be up to twice the size of a gray wolf).

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
